Manifesto
lecrayon is a pencil box for creative AI: a canvas where image, video, 3D, audio and text models can be chained together. This page sums up what we want to build and the rules we set ourselves.
1Bring the models together
We don't make models. We pick the best ones, whichever lab publishes them, and make them easy to use together on a single sheet.
2Show the price before the click
Every generation shows its cost before it runs, and the amount charged never exceeds that price. With your own model key, you pay the provider directly, with no margin on our side. Our public price index lists the real price of each model, route by route, with sources.
3No lock-in
Creations and chains should be able to leave lecrayon in open formats. Deleting an account really deletes its data.
4Hands off people's work
What is created on lecrayon is never used to train a model, and never sold.
5Keep track of every step
Each image, video or text keeps the model that made it, its inputs and its cost. The model's creator is credited on every generation, with a link to their page.
6Editorial picks, never paid
The models we feature are featured by choice. A paid placement would be labelled as such; there are none today.
7Code you can check
The product's code will be published under the FSL licence, so anyone can check what it does.
8Complexity stays on our side
Security and privacy should take no effort: no terminal, no obscure settings. That work is ours to do.
This manifesto will evolve with the product.
